    Default HEMTT rim problems

I purchased some 20x10 rims that I had seen on epay, but the auction was over. Called this guy said he had plenty more. Sent me a "pay it now" through paypal. Paid(750$) him around the end of June, never showed up. Filed dispute with paypal and won but they said they cant give my money back because they dont know if they can get theirs from him. I thought if you were a member dealing with another member it was guaranteed.WTF. So now I'm trying to find the a55hole and try to get my 2 dollars back. Got his name, think I have his address. Wrote another guy that left him negative feedback. Turns out this guy is on SteelSoldiers and evidently these guys are wanting information on him too. If anybody here has had problems with this guy please PM me. Sounds like hes screwed alot of people. Pissed off with ebay/paypal. Looks to me its better to use PO money order, at least you get your money back that way.

I can only hope you funded the ScamPal, er, PayPal transaction with a Credit Card..

If you did, you can file a dispute of charges with the CC company for failure to receive the goods. Then PayPal can go get twisted.

I got the run around with Pay Pal/Ebay earlier this year on a 4bt deal.Pay Pal dragged it out,and the guy said he would send the balance of the merchandise via Post Office,he sent garbage instead.I had a partial chargeback to my credit card for the value of the items not sent.Pay Pal locked up my account, like I was the scammer, but I sent them the paperwork they required ( I had the USPO look into this matter, and it takes quite awhile to get the investigation done).Pay pal finally reopened my account, but I am very slow to buy from Ebay, and or use Pay pal.I am a customer of both, but they really went to bat for the scammer that sent garbage instead of merchandise,he had advertised as 100% complete, needs fuel, and 12 volts to solenoid to run,but left out intercooler piping/clamps/boots/ ID tag went missing,,,,,you get the picture.I see he is back on Ebay selling another 4bt setup........Anyway,did you contact your state's Atty General,or his state's Atty General??? In our phone books,we have the Government pages,on both state, and federal problems, and you may be directed to someone who will be able to resolve the issue,or pursue the seller of your rims with legal action.....good luck to you!!

redhead I don't claim to know all the ins and outs of Ebay/Paypal. But I have been screwed over before dealing with them and gone through the process. One thing that I think hurts your case is you bought the rims from an Ebay customer without going through the Ebay process preventing them from collecting their fees.
Concerning Paypal, I do know there is a time limit to file a dispute, hopefully that was met. I also know it is your responsibility to upgrade this to a claim, and to keep good records of the claim number, case number, and to check in periodically on the status. It can take some time to get your refund, Paypal will disburse your money when they can get their money from the sellers bank acct., credit card, etc. If the seller's funds are insufficient to cover your refund they will wait till such funds are available. Which is why it can take some time to get your money.
That is how the process as I know it.
redheadbronco- can you list all the various aliases and their respective web sites that this person goes by. This will help others avoid possible issues in the future.

    Valuable input Ggg.

Youre right it does take time. This started in June. Month later filed claim, then escalated to dispute. With help from members on SS and pavement, got enough information to hit Intellius and got current phone #s,adress and e-mail address. Wrote some harsh verbally abusive comments to him. Filed a claim with IC3. Once I forwarded this stuff to him minus passwords he opened right up said this was paypals fault blah, blah, blah. Turns out he did send some material stating he had paid paypal. So while I was on phone I checked paypal dispute was reopened and says payment has been sent but still in "pending" mode. So looks like I'm getting my money back. Im glad I'm getting my money back, but he owes alot of others. Told him he better change his ways soon before he's a floater. Guys at SS are starting a group action against him with IC3, they are collecting tons of paperwork. Some of his handles on various military, diesel and offroad sites are:
    04Ford
    mopar-powered
    strykertt
    offroadfabworks
    cumminspowered
I'm sure there is alot more but these are prevalent handles. Anything from around the Celine,Lima OH area that sounds too good to be true it probably is. He also frequents Alabama but didnt get to the bottom of that one.

One thing you said, I will not buy outside of an auction again. Screws you bad. And pay paypal with credit card instead of your bank account. CC you can get your money back, bank account your gambling.

Anybody thinks theyre possibly dealing with this guy PM me with info and I will get to the bottom in a short time.

    Default Ebay

One way to do a transactionon ebay that will protect you is to have the seller set up a private auction just for you, rather than selling outside of ebay. I did this after a seller had a trans adapter for bid and I asked if it was for 94 and later/for od use/ it was for a 91 but said he knew someone with a 97, set up private auction and set up price as 99 and shipping as 85 to keep ebays cut lower, I guess they charge a percentage of the sale. Everything went very smooth no problems,,just a thought
