    Default Dodge Gauge Cluster

OK: I have a wild scheme to transplant a gauge cluster from a 2004 Dodge with a Cummins into my 1978 Scout II when I rebuild the dash. I really like the look of the gauges being my main reason. I have been told that the gauges get their signal from the main computer. Does anyone have any idea about how I could make it work with standard gauge inputs? Am I completely crazy to try this?

There was a guy on the TDR that did a Chevy Suburban to Cummins and he used the Chevy base and Gauge cluster but put the Dodge electronics and face plate in it. It was quite a project but turned out really sweet. I'm not sure if you'll be able to see the whole TDR thread unless you are a member but take some time and look through this guys build, he is a true professional.
