    Default my 4bt cop car

Here is my last project that I finished in July. It is currently my daily driver. It is a rotary pumped 105hp 4bt out of a p30 bread van. I have a hy35 and a intercooler to throw on when I get time. It is still stock other than the gov. spring. I am running a 47rh 2wd trans and all of the chrysler stuff like vacuum pump, p/s pump and a/c comp. Someone said it would be cool but next to impossible. Sounded like a good challenge; definitely not a direct bolt in. I'll post more pics and info when I get a chance.

sorry for the crappy link, i've never posted

    Default Impressed!

    I love it.
Crown Vics are nice solid cars.
As your daily driver how do you find the performance and fuel economy?
How does it feel comparing to the 4.6L around town?
How are the noise and vibration?

Please post some pictures of the project if you took them during the build.

How'd you fit all that under the hood without a body lift? How much ground clearance do you have with the sump?

I have my overdrive and lock up switches on the dash. Other than that, it drives remarkable stock. The 4bt is very noisey but in the car, you could carry a conversation easily. It being stock i can keep up with the 4.6 gasser. In town I am getting 25mpg. I think it should do better but i'll keep tweakin. The oil pan sump is shortened 2 inches and the engine is as low as it will go. About a little under a 1/4 inch from the hood with the hood support cut out in the middle.

Default Another 4bt car - Yeah!

    Mr. Cameron,

What awesome swap you pulled off! You have nothing short of comfort, fuel economy, omnious looks, and a prestegious sound that will reverberate the neighborhood. Don't feel bad about your other half getting her undies in a bundle about the finished product, because there were numerous times when I was out turning a wrench late at night and my wife was neglected some under-cover action that she was hoping for. They unfortunately take for granted how such activities tend to keep us out of the bar as well as the beds of other women.

Anyway, the youtube video was way-cool, and any kind of comprehensive buildup thread would be greatly appreciated.

    Keep that fearsome machine rolling!

I would love to hear about the HWY mileage numbers.
That is relatively light weight and very aerodynamic compared to a full size truck.
