    Default Liner Question

Are there different sizes of liners for the 4bd1t engines? If so, is there to find out what size you need before disassembly so that the right ones could be ordered?

I have a recollection (may be mistaken) that there should be a reference code, stencilled on the deck of the block, adjacent to each bore.

If the deck has been re-surfaced, it will have disappeared.

Edit: There are 4 liner grades 1, 2, 3, & 4. The liner grade is marked (permanent ink) on the block to the right of the cylinder (piston grade [S, A, B, C, D, & E] is stamped on the left side).

    Liner Grade, Liner OD.
    1, 105.011 to 105.020 mm
    2, 105.021 to 105.030 mm
    3, 105.031 to 105.040 mm
    4, 105.041 to 105.050 mm

Liner interference in block is 0.001 to 0.019 mm if the marks have been removed from the block.

Liners are supplied with pistons as a set.
