Default 1993 GMC 3500 Southern Comfort conversion 6.5 td to 12v swap

I have a 93 GMC 3500 Crew Cab 6.5 td 5 speed manual. I found a 12v cummins with a allison 4 speed auto ($1300) would this be a good swap? Can someone help me find motor mounts and things to make this happen? I think I might need to get an aux trans to make it economical. Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Bill

I was Trying to get this truck restored and running on WVO for my father-in law for his 65th birthday. I have about four and a half years to get all done but i am hoping to use the truck for the next few years and the 12v will be the most reliable thing i can do.
Again thanks for any info you may have on this swap.

you need to get a set of crewcab59's engine mounts and it will bolt in. not sure on the trans but i think it would fit.
