That stinks. They were supposedly working on a cross member for the GMT-400.

Yeah i was looking foward to that one since the 88-98 trucks are cheaper here then the 87 and older.

Wow that really is a shame, I was planning on purchasing one of their Cummins conversion crossmembers for my blazer.

They closed a long time ago. Friday march 13th 2009 to be exact. i only know that because i was one of the few that got laid off that day. i also had a lot to do with the design of that crossmember. i built the prototype and the jigs and many of the first rounds to go out.

if there is some interest i may be able to put you in contact with some fellows that are able to make it still. ill have to check on that and see. it may be totally dead.

Default I know its old... But I HAVE QUESTIONS.

RYANROO: Did you ever check to see if the jigs were still around somewhere? Is there CAD or CAM files or other technical docs that you can get? Does avalanche engineering hold a patent on this device? I know it is something that could be re-engineered, but these things sure would make a lot of our projects easier and probably safer..... I have resources to make this available again, just not from the ground up. PM me if you have anything that could get some of these produced again, and maybe we can figure something out.

    Thanks!

I am not sure about the legalities of the the ownership or anything like that. there are no patents or anything. the guys with the files are pretty busy. ill try to ask again and see what is up. i have the capacity to produce them, but i dunno about the jigs. they are probably long gone. i would prefer to design something a little more classy and offer a nicer product, but i dont have the time right now. its in my long term plan.

i will try to ask about them next time i see the boys and report back.
