I have a friend with a stock Dodge with 6bt, occasionally will stumble going into OD, is that a known problem?

Thanks,

Since you said OD(4th) I assume it's an automatic.
I've had 3 Dodge's, a 92 manual, a 94 with a automatic and still have the 91.5 with a automatic. With a combined mileage of over 600,000 never have experienced that problem.
can you describe stubble better.
... a lot of the trucks ... Shift into & out of O/D at 42 mph.
If this is your stumble .. then look on pass side for a But Black slide together connection from the battery cable.
I'm going to say it's on about a no.4 battery cable. I suppose it could be larger. That slice is about 6 inches long.
WE CUT that splice out & Soldered it back together. hope that's your stumble.

Your truck is one of only 2 years that had the 47RH transmission. In reading about issues it seems that most problems as you described are electrical related. Either sensors or bad connections.
