i have 4bt 1990 105 hp been driving it for 5 yrs its in a 48 chevy -lost oil pressure and discovered my oil pan was full of fuel=engin starts great ,it sits throught winter and use just for running arown town-runs gread high fuel milage very little smoke-got any ides thanks

ok the pump is a couple yrs old--but i can put another one on--whats the ip????-i have had 3 diffeerent engines in this truck,like to stay with the 4bt great engins thanks

Very nice truck. As was said, you either have a bad lift pump or bad seal in the injection pump. The diaphragm lift pumps are somewhat notorious for that. Not the greatest item on the engine. There is a replacement piston style lift pump for the VE pump engines. A tad expensive but super reliable. If the injection pump is the culprit then it will need new seals.
