Although more HP is fine, this rig need mostly torque. It's a 2 ton truck that may be hauling another truck on the back sometimes. Max engine rpm is well under 3000 so can't see where the 4000 rpm spring comes into play. He has the 60# valve springs since he's running an exhaust brake. The simple mods like P Pump mentions will probably be all that is needed. Seems like the stock Holset waste gate starts opening around 20 psi or a little less. Most engines with that turbo usually can hit 30 psi. Basically will be adjusting to get fuel and air balanced and keep it clean. As for whether he is comfortable doing the pump mods is up to him.
