Thanks, I would go bigger then a 4BT for a Tundra. My 4BT fits really well in my Tacoma, a 6BT should fit in a Tundra.
I getting ready to head over to Afghanistan for 9 months so the truck is going to be sitting until I get back. Here’s another picture of my hydro booster with a new master cylinder. My master cylinder is from a P30 van, with disc/disc brakes. It should stop my Tacoma with ease.

I’m hoping I’ll be able to finish my clutch master cylinder, adding another return line to my power steering pump and making my linkage for my shifters before I head out.

Heres the link to master cylinder in case anyone wants one.

Thanks, this will be my 4th deployment. I have 3 deployments in Iraq and this is going to be my first deployment in Afghanistan. After this I’ll have 42 months total between both countries.

I got bored at work so I figured I would attempt to post videos of my truck, figured it out this time! My droid doesn’t like a lot of things moving so the video is pretty shaky.

First start after my oil pressure lines were leaking, hard a hard time starting it again with better lines but it fires up every time now!

Quick question can ya give me the part numbers for the HE351VE turbo and the vgt controller i dont wanna order the wrong items and then have to ship them back. thanks man
Not sure that steed is in the country. He was being deployed to Afghanistan. If you look at post #101 in this article you'll have the answer to your questions. Be aware that turbo set up is not for the faint of heart. It's about the cost of an engine. Sprectre turbo is around $1700 and the Fleece controller $625.

Im still here, i deploy on the 31st for 9 months.

here is the link for the Specter Turbo's i have the Vulcan 1 (Regular Price: $1,899.99 DPP Sale Price: $1,680.75)

My truck still only idles so I can’t tell you how well this turbo is going to work, with big injector’s, fuel plate, performance cam, timing and correct tune on the controller I’m pretty sure it’s going to work out really well. But it’s a lot of money to be tossing around with the possibility to be disappointed.

The fleece controller was around $700, I got one the first ones they made, It took a lot of hounding to get it from fleece though.

With any luck im going to pay a shop to finish the work while im gone so hopfully ill be able to drive it next year.

It’s been awhile since I posted, I’m still in Afghanistan and everything so far has been going pretty good.

Unorthodox Customs in Puyallup Wa. Has been knocking out the truck little by little, there work is AWESOME!!!

Here’s some pics of their progress.

Removing the leaf spring and IFS gearbox for a radius arm coil over setup by Battlement Fab out of Colorado.

Redesigned the sifters, they said the body wouldn’t support the pressure needed to shift, so they made stronger support for them. Pretty bad ass shifter linkage and twin sticks.

Over all there work is pretty awesome!
Ill keep updating this with their progress, hopefully a few more months and ill be heading back to the states.

Nice truck! Keep the updates coming as legions of us are lurkers attempting to get the gumption to start our builds!

Be safe over there! What is your MOS?

Thanks, I’m a 29E Electronic Warfare Sergeant; I attack the enemy using the electromagnetic spectrum.
Right now the Unorthodox Customs is waiting for Battlement Fab to finish up on the Links for the suspension, it’s going to be pretty sweet. Hopefully soon Unorthodox Customs will finish the suspension and ill post some more pics.

Since I had a little money burning a hole in my pocket I ended up ordering some performance upgrades from MG Diesel Power
Bosch 7x.010” 148* SAC Injectors
Bosch -24 delivery valves
AFC Kit
4K Governor spring
#10 fuel plate

Total cost was $710 shipped, figured it was a pretty sweet deal. It should push me close to 300HP if I’m lucky. Now still debating if I want to pick up a Cam, I’ve read online some people like them some don’t. I won’t be home for awhile so I have time to think about it.

If you're going into the 300hp territory I'd say a cam would be in order. Talk to the guys at Colt. Probably their Stage 3 would be the ticket. Stages 4-6 are a bit aggressive for the average steet use. Several other companies have cams with the same grind as this one.

Sick build. Im new on here but i a putting a 4bt in my 83 toyota. Four link rear, three link front. High pinion 60s. Struggling to decide tranny and tcase myself. I plated my whole frame from the rear of the cab back with 3/16s.

That’s going to be pretty sweet. There isn’t to many 4BT Yodas so make sure you make a build thread

Battlement Fab in Colorado is still working on the front suspension setup. It’s a radius arm setup, made of 1/4' cut sheet, that’s welded into a square tube. Pretty awesome!
