Just out of curiosity does anyone know much about these 3.3 4bt engines? I saw one on ebay and it came up on another thread. Just looking to learn a little about them thats all. Thanks all!!

Thanks alot 95Z!! Looks like that is a perfect motor for that jeep!! There is 3.3 on ebay right now for like 5 grand.

The 3.3 is a different family from the 4BT.....nothing is interchangable..It is a construction/industrial engine that is actully manufactured by Komatsu and Marketed in North, South and Central America by a Joint Venture between Cummins and Komatsu....
It is a very strong running engine that is extremely smooth for a 4 cylinder.....I do know a guy that put one in a Jeep, can't remember the actual model, but it fit well and performs even better.
3.3 lites, about 600 lbs + or - a little.
5000 for a new one isn't all that good of a deal....Try your local Cummins Dealer/Distributor for a price, it might surprise you...Can access any and all specs and or data if you want it or need it.
