Ok, so I could not find the thread where I thought I posted oil pan info, but here is a new thread to add to the stickies instead of just replying to a pre-existing thread. Would one of the moderators please add this to the 4BT Technical Topics Index under "Oil Pans" in Post 9? If anyone else has oil pan info such as "Dry Sump" would you please get the moderators to add it to the Tech Topics Index as well?

As far as measurements go:

Shallow (Center) Sump:
Drain plug max depth = 6.5"
Sump depth = 6"
Sump length = 6.5"
Depth at ends = 4.75"

Front / Rear Sump:
Drain plug max depth = 7.5"
Sump depth = 7"
Sump length = 8"
Depth at opposite end = 2.75" (approximately)

Hopefully this helps answer some questions.

That center sump pan looks like it would hold more than 10 quarts.

I figure that most of those part numbers have been obsoleted by now. Seems like every time Cummins raises a price on a part they also obsolete the old part number.
