What mpg should i get in a jeep wrangler body?
Also, what rpm should I shift at for optimal fuel economy without lugging the engine, would 2,000 rpm be too low?

thanks alot

do a quick search - there's a couple guys with CJ/YJ/TJ swaps going on.

expect mid 20s for fuel economy
sweet spot for fuel efficiency on stock motor is between 1700-1800rpms, you can shift into the 2000s w/o worry, just cruise on the low side.
with grandma steppin' it some have reported mpg in the range near or at 30mpg...so it all depends on your driving habits.

Driving for economy I shift at 2000, the beginning of the power (fuel) curve. My mileage is about 23 in town and 28 on the hiway at 65.

I geared my Scout for 65 mph at about 1800 rpm. You should be able to meet or exceed those figures with a lighter vehicle.
