Mark's 30mm HVLP piston lift pump with 14psi spring

126440

And the second pic is of Mark's 3 yr old one-off 20psi spring on the same HVLP pump with a 300cc Giles VE, but this screenshot was while the inlet screen on the HVLP was clogged - it usually runs at 20psi with a clean screen & zero issues here.

There is a distinct idle sound difference between 14psi & 20psi but I don't seem to be able to upload the videos where the screen shots came from.

https://oregonfuelinjection.com/shop/heavy-duty/cummins-b-c-midrange-and-industrial/feed-pump/ - I tried that 26mm piston lift pump once upon a time, and it gave me no additional advance over a stock new diaphragm lift pump. That 3936320 was a waste of time & the spring supplied by OFI etc lost tension within a year, was likely a Fastenal spring.

Nothing "high performance" or "high flow" about it's "7psi high output"; like any other true HVLP piston pump on a VE its only advantage over a stock diaphragm pump is it won't dump fuel into the crankcase.
