Hello,

Newbie here. I have a complete breadvan with a good running 4BT...until today. Had not started it in several weeks and took a buddy out to hear this motor run and....it cranks over fine but will not smoke, sputter or start.

Has fuel in the tank, builds oil pressure, but won't fire off.

I figure it has to be fuel related, but how do I troubleshoot this? How do I test the fuel cutoff? What should I look for after that?

Thanks
Jim

Jim,

This might sound dumb, but does your truck have a movable gate behind the driver? Mine has a kill switch on it so if the bread truck driver left the gate open (which would cause the bread to fall), the truck would not start. All three of the bread trucks I bought from Twin Falls and Idaho Falls had the kill switch. Hope it is something simple like this!
