Yep, prices are climbing fast evidencing the further downfall of the dollar.
Which stall speed did you go with?

Along way from install, but collecting parts before anymore price hikes. Im soooo ready to get back on my project. Glad to answer any questions that I can.
Lower the stall, for DD or towing, less rpm climb past the peak torque of your build the better, especially in the fuel consumption area. However, those who like, to jack rabbit from a stop, hot rod etc...go the other way with stall speeds rising past their diesels peak torque output and in reality fuel consumption takes takes a back seat to hot roding...No converter yet! Man I have asked that question, and researched, and come to this conclusion. There are so many factors in selecting a stall converter, and we all want to get it right. HP, torque, weight of vehicle, gearing, tire size, and how your going to use your vehicle. I have got some really good opinions on this site, but nothing rock solid yet. Its best to listen to people with completed projects, and with real world experience. This is the best site so far for info, other sites get nasty when questions on stall speeds for custom projects are posted, and the bickering begins. My project is under 4000 lbs., 2WD, and I'm shooting for 200+ HP / 400 ft lbs + to start. Very little towing if at all. My choice will be most likely a stock size, 1200 to 1400 range, single stage billet cover, again for my application. Hope this helps.
