Does anyone have a 6bt 12 valve block in their shop that I could ask for some measurements from ?

Michael,

I should be able to get those dimensions tomorrow if it doesn’t snow. Both sides of the engine have two rows of several holes equally spaced apart, three are used for 6 cyl mount and others used for 4 cyl mounting location. I presume you are going to use factory Dodge mounts? The dimensions I will get you are probably not good enough to make mounts from.

Michael, here you go: All dims in inches say otherwise.
Port side, from rear of block, to aft engine mount bolt 10”, engine mount bolt pattern 4 11/16” typ. horizontal apart. , 2.375” typ. vertical, both sides. Bottom engine mount bolt to pan rail, 3.625” typ. both sides.
, to aft engine mount 11.125”. Front of engine mount to block front 14.250”, typ. both sides. Mount is 4.035” thick.
Mount bolts are 12mm, look like 1.5 pitch, I do not have a thread gauge.

Dodge engine mount receptacles 20.250” wide, engine sitting in the middle.

This should set you up. Kind of hard to get exact measurements because of wires, hoses, accessories. If you need exact, go to Cummins.

OK, sounds like the mounts I got for my conversion, 1 was basically straight out and the other Sloped up. I made another that sloped up and the made a good fit.
The only thing not quite right is I could have set the mounting a little further to the rear as it is tight to the vacuum pump/power steering. Did not pay attention to the offset on the straight mounting.

Your mounts look solid and well designed, if the vac-ps becomes a problem, you could swap in cummins gear drive ps pump and use a superduty 12v vac pump for hvac, this is what myself and others have done on 4bt swaps, however the ford sd 12v vac pumps are not adequate for vac boosters, you'll need to convert to hyroboost brakes, which is a worthwhile upgrade imo...

Sorry, rechecked the numbers and mine are for 2000 up.
If you check Rockauto, Dodge Ram 2500, L6 diesel, 1994 to 1999 you will find pic's of your mounts. Very similar to mine, think they just beefed the later ones up a bit.
Is this still in a Dodge or are you swapping? I am in West Aus.

Every 1st thru 4th gen dodge mm is different, I used a combination of 2nd and 3rd gen mounts, they both seems to be the same as far as build strength, (I still have the original mounts on my 95 at 195k, holding up well) they can be reversed left to right, which is what I did, you just can't rotate 180 because the rubber insert is designed to only carry engine weight in direction... 4th gen mounts are the most symmetrical left to right wise, drivers side is longer if irrc, but can be used either side to fit mounting needs... If I were to do my mounts again, I would use 4th gen mounts...
