Long story short I bought this c30 dually suburban and decided it needed a better power plant, what follows is my buildup with all the little tricks I picked up along the way

First things first I kept everything from the donor truck to keep my 24v happy. you would be surprised how simple this build really is. I have oil pressure, coolant temp and shortly speedo all working happily in the factory gauge cluster.

So I decided that I wasnt going to spend almost $300 for engine side mounts when i have the fabrication skills to build them. I did some research and found that I could keep the stock towers if I used first gen motor mount isolater ( NAPA PN #6021653) This is what i came up with The piece that bolts to the block is 1/2 inch and the others are 5/16 it just happened to be laying around the shop. she sits down nicely!
