Another option is to find someone parting out a similar body style diesel truck. That's how I scored mine ;)

sorry for all the questions, but are you running the alternator that came on the cummins or a aftermarket.

FREEBEE!! i picked up another donor yesterday. this would be 5 trucks total now that have been in and out of here to pillage parts off of.
got it stipped down and ready for the scrapyard today. hood, doors and glass were good. box was full of bondo :pissed: and i still dont have a decent one.i also pulled the 6" lift and all the interior trim and headliner (custom delux package) seatbelts ect..

over the weekend i welded in my steering box fame support kit, welded in the new cab corners, and got them mudded in. also built the poor man's shackle flip. since im not a fan of lift blocks, or spending cash on stuff i can build for pennies.

i got the full floater swapped in. i pulled the open carrier out, dissesembled, re-shimed, and installed a gov-bomb (gov-loc) that has been sitting on the shelf here for a few years.

i pulled the hubs/drums off and of course the brakes, hardware and backing plates were shot. including the bolt on ruffstuff specialties brackets i only have $130 into my rear disc swap. i had the rotors and core calipers off one of the many donor trucks. in doing this i lost my emergency brake, but i have a parking brake in the works coming soon.

Out of curiosity is there any reason why you put the intercooler in upside down? I am in the midst of a similar swap and mine seemed to fit in standard orientation?
no real reason other than less plumbing/shorter intake tract.

hey are you gonna have AC on the truck
i saw some parts for it on the truck still
hopefully someday  its not really a main concern as of right now, but im sure down the road (june or july) the heat will convince me to get it hooked up.

the rest of the truck is getting painted in a professional refinishing facility on saturday night, by a friend (as a HUGE favor) that has a better idea than i do about what to do on the spraying end of things. i gotta get my ass in gear tomorrow morning and finish the bodywork on the box!
