There is a mazda truck for sale locally for a good price i think but i donot know to much about these are they the same motor as the ranger had? yhinking about buying it for a daliy driver. Any info on reliability would be great

I'm not sure about the truck but I know ford used the Perkins 2.0 in the 85 tempo.My friend had one that got 55 mpg.He never had any issues other than a leaking injector pump,wishes he had it back now.

The Mazda pickup and the Ranger are the same truck.

If it was in a Mazda truck it should be a Toyo Kogyo diesel engine

It's either a Perkins 4.135 if it's a 2.2L or a Mitsubishi 4D55 if it's a 2.3L...

90% sure it's the Perkins.

if it is said to be a perkins look alike in a pickup truck, then it is an S2 engine with a cast iron cyl head.

if its in a tray truck it will be an SL engine also an iron head engine.

Did the the 2.0 in the ford escort come with a turbo or can it handle one without cominig apart
