can you use a 92 dodge 1/2 ton 5speed from a 360 engine behind a cummins? didn't know if the bellhousing would interchange or not? my friend has one that had an engine fire.

if i'm correct, the bellhousing won't fit, but you can use the tranny as long as you get the first gen cummins bell crank adapter.

what do you mean bellcrank adapter? the bellhousing and flywheel from the 1st gen?

that should be an NV3550. Adapting it would be similar to adapting a AX15, i know at least one or two have done that on this forum, but i don't know too much about doing it.

Yes, the bellhousing and flywheel from a first gen, and you may or may not need a custom spacer/new input shaft depending if the shaft is too long/short for the stock adapter - I'm not familiar with the lengths of the 3550. I've seen it done in pictures, so it must be possible!

Stupid question, but have you Google'd it? Someone must have a write-up on it.
