its a b-gas from 2001 5.9 L dedicated cng. i am interested to upgrade the entire fuel system to b-gas plus and add a new ecm and gasoline or ethanol possibility for in between stations while out of range. any help is greatly appreciated, even where to buy the parts cheaply anywhere worldwide. bosch released the tri-fuel ecm ng motronic in 2005. email me for the links if you cant find it. jef

cummins westport says running on propane as a dual fuel could destroy the engine since cng is running at 10.5:1 and the propane model is 9.5:1, not sure if i believe them, but that is why i think gasoline or ethanol is the dual or tri fuel answer. in europe the sprinter ngt uses a 4bt and works on cng or gasoline. in brazil tri fuel cng/gasoline/ethanol vehicles have existed a long time but dont know if any use cummins 5.9. the only tri fuel ecms i can find are bosch and afsglobal (alternative fuel systems) in canada

there is no cummins-powered brazilian-made tri-fuel vehicles, but there are some dedicated cng trucks and buses with mercedes-benz, iveco and cummins engines... btw opel zafira has some "monovalentplus" cng versions that are mainly intended to run on cng but has a small 14-litre tank for gasoline to be used in limp home mode, with the ecm detuned when running on gasoline... about compression, i saw some brazilian opel (and some opel-based chevrolets) cars converted to tri-fuel running with 12:1 ratio...
