I am noticing differences in the 12v gen 1 and gen 2 manifolds and wondering which will be better for heater box clearance and exhaust pipe routing on the Fords. The 89 manifold puts the turbo up and at an angle far away from the motor. The later (gen2) manifolds look like they put the turbo directly under the manifold closer to the engine.
In theory, it looks like the gen 2 would give me more clearance or is it not worth the hassle of changing the manifold and rerouting the oil lines.
