Anyone use a block heater?

It's getting cold at Purdue and I'm not sure my glow plugs are gonna cut it anymore.

What are the sizes of the freeze plug holes/which one should I use?

I assume you have an Isuzu 4BD1/2. A lot of them cam with a factory block heater that screw into the block on the left side. The simplest would be to buy one from your local dealer or from Tom's http://stores.ebay.com/Toms-Truck-Center-Suzuki-Kia-Depot. Often, they are available as a kit and include the wiring harness.

Actually, considering where you are located, I'm surprised that you are having trouble starting.

The kits listed at my dealer are not the screw-in type, they are the freeze-plug replacement type, with an expanding ring that seals them.

Where are the freeze plugs on this engine? Are they easily accessible?

Thanks fellas

edit: the parts department just called me back, they ARE the screw-in type. excellent.
