Does any one use cad software to help design placement of engine bay components in relationship to the frame. including: motor/tran mounts, braking & clutch placement?
is there one software you like over another?

Yes. I use solidworks because I have it but I wouldn't recommend it. Very expensive and while the product is good the company and reseller model sucks.

There are plenty of subscription based programs these days that are cheap or free.
