I have a case dozer 90/91 vintage and I'd like a way to look up cummins parts directly, instead of trying to cross the case pn.
quickserve doesn't like the serial number I have, and there is no CPL on the tag.
The tag on the engine only says:
4t-390 Part no:A174324
Serial: 44494903

Any one have any suggestions?

TIA

You might want to contact a Cummins dealer. Not sure if Cummins Atlantic is in your area or not. Some of the serial numbers used by Case do not show on regular Quick Serve, but a Cummins dealer can see them on their system. Crossing a Case part # can be relatively easy. If you see a J in front of the part, simply replace that with a 3 and you have the Cummins part #. You can go onto Coleman Equipment web site which is for Case industrial equipment. Here's a link to their parts site. https://www.colemanequip.com/parts/case-parts/

That J to 3 conversion has helped a lot. However, since Case and Cummins parted company a few years back, some of their old part numbers have changed to a dedicated Case part number. No conversion for those.
