Tired of my 350 and looking to do a cummins conversion in my 99 K2500 LS 4x4. It's the old square body style with stock t case and IFS. I plan on doing a SAS but I'm not sure which axel to go with. Not looking to go crawling really plan on this truck to mainly be a daily driver and a toy on the weekends. Also I would like to drop a manual transmission in so I don't have to deal with any electronics. would a wrecked 1st gen be my best bet and just swap everything over? what else would be needed if I did get a complete cummins for the swap? Any help is appreciated.

Do you want your stock gauges? It can be easy to swap hard parts, it takes patience to do it right as a package

I'm thinking it'll just be easier to hook up some electronic gauges. heard it's a mess to sync up stock gauges. I've searched a little for a swap like mine but I'm new to the whole forum thing.
