Hello I'm hoping someone could give me a heads up on where my oil dipstick is supposed to be I cannot find it for the life of me I have a 2004 workhorse step van with the 4bt what location would it be driver or passenger side and front or rear of the block going into pan thank you

Oil dipstick is on the driver's side. There are 2 possible holes depending on oil pan orientation. If the pan sump is to the front then the dip stick tube is in the block skirt near the front. If you have a rear sump then the tube is near the back and the front hole is plugged. These are for the 4bt. See diagram below. The 6bt has 3 holes, one being in the middle between the front and rear. There are many styles of dipsticks depending on the application.

the dipsick will be located near the bottom of the of the bock on the driver side, if the pan is facing forward then the stick will be on the front of the block, if the pan is facing to the rear then the stick will be twords the back of the block
