Anyone have any suggestions for a specific brand that could be used to paint my 4bt? I want something that will make the next guy say "Why the **** won't this come off" when they are trying to blast it.

Surprised no responses. I have painted several engines with POR-15. I have never had an issue with it. It does not come off. It is not UV protected and will fade if exposed to the sun but it will not hurt the protection it provides. I had a 68 mustang that was painted 12 years ago and it still shines like the day I put it on and the gloss is easy to clean.

I suspect with any engine paint the big thing is metal prep. You have to get that thing very clean. What color do you plan to use? Not sure what Cummins used from the factory but it usually doesn't come off easily. I suspect the early paints contained lead. Most of the newer engines are painted with the red paint. You can get that from Cummins.
