Since I've put my 4BT in last December / January, I've put ~10,000 miles on her. 99% of tanks I've burned have ranged between 20 and 22 mpg, with the very first tank after the conversion clocking in at 19. The majority of my driving is back and forth in the Piedmont region of NC (max ~50ft to 800ft elevation). I did take her for a trip to upstate NY earlier this summer, as well as a trip to PA.

Interesting. I can't get more than ~16mpg towing this trailer with stuff. Total weight is somewhere around 10k (loaded, measured). I can feel a significant difference at speed between that canvas top being on and off:

I would say aerodynamics of the trailers has something to do with it and then the weight. I kept my speed at 60 to 65 mph. (1700 to 2000 rpm)

So far the best I've gotten was 11.54 mpg out of my landcruiser. But I do not have OD , 4.88 gears with 44" tires and it weighs about 6300 pounds. So with that being said I'm getting almost 7mpg better than the gas 350 I pulled out. My engine only has about 700 miles on the rebuild. I think when I go to smaller injector and the engine breaks in I hope to get around 15mpg. Here is what it looks like today

Since changing to the ZF's .76 OD from the M5od'd .8 OD on my last fueling I got a solid 20mpg with 500 miles of mixed highway, town and interstate driving. That is with 3.55's and 33" tires interstate speed limits are 75mph.

With 275/60r15 tires and 2.73 gears I was able to go 237 miles with around 100 of those miles was towing a trailer that weighed 2000-6000 pounds. Truck weighs around 4000-4500 pounds. I got 20.8 MPG, which I'm super happy about.

Not that anyone cares anymore, but I will throw in an update. I have been getting pretty consistent mileage and still getting everything dialed in. Seeing 14 as the lowest and 18 as the highest for mpg. Mixed driving or mix of offroad trails and highway I'm getting 16. I think I could get 20mpg if the conditions we more ideal. Every time I get 18 on the highway I have been pulling multiple 10,000-11,000ft elevation passes and/or having a 30mph head wind and not able to lock up the TC for alot of the time.

This is all with 4.88 gears, a 700R4, and 42" tires hand calculated to account for tire diameter and same fuel station pump.
