Mine finally died and I refuse to pay the 200 dollars for a new one. I have read people using essentially a choke cable for the international trucks with P pumps and retrofitting them in place of the solenoid.

The International cable kit is about 90 dollars. So I tried a 7 dollar choke cable from Advanced Auto just for giggles to see what would need to be done, I could mess it up and not be out a lot of money.

Anyway, I put the coiled sheath through one of the mounting holes in the mounting plate. Because of the angle, it seats in the threads and gives the proper tension! As of now it works so Ill drive it around awhile and see how it does before buttoning everything down.
