I have never seen anybody use the 4r100 behind a 4bt but I have seen it used behind a 6bt. The 4bt is the same SAE pattern so the same adapter would work. I bet Fordcummins makes them as well as Autoworld. The issue will be the trans controller. The stock Ford 4r100 works in conjunction with the engine ECM, so an after market stand alone trans controller is what you will need.
