My 4BT has developed a small coolant leak directly below the water outlet. It is running fine. Before I replace the head gasket, I plan to see if Aluma-seal will fix it. Anyone else ever seen or heard of one leaking like this?

Head Gasket Leaking Below Water Outlet

My 4BT had a leak in the same location. When I pulled the head I found the head bolts in that area badly rusted. I had the head checked for leaks and found several cracks in the head. So I installed a reconditioned head, new head bolts and a Cummins gasket set.

You really rained on my parade! :( If that's the case with mine, I'll do the stop leak and perhaps that will buy some time until spring. It seems surprising, I would think that the maintenance program this truck had would have had good antifreeze to keep that from happening.
