71 F250 4x4 5900 pounds empty, HP D44 front, D60 rear 4.10's, 35x12.50R16.5 BFG muds, M5R2 5 speed, NP205 case, hydroboost, power assist steering, 3G alternator, 97 105HP 4BT intercooled with stock 16CM H1C and 2.5" straight, full exhaust, 195 thermostat, 3200 spring, maxxed fuel screw, stock 5 hole injectors.

Estimated 180HP 450 lb/ft. Worst single tank mileage towing 70+ MPH with 8 tires on the ground and 16K GCVW, to the floor for an entire tank 19.8 MPG. Running average MPG for 42K+ miles in the past 14 months of city, backroads, heavy towing and typically hauling a ton in the bed is 25.2. Best mileage to date was 700 MIles of liesurely 55-65 MPH driving over the cascades and through East Oregon for 700 miles averaging 29.5 MPG. Top speed around 90 MPH. The engine has the power to get the truck to 85 pretty quick, but takes considerable throttle and boost to go any faster, that's as fast as you could reasonably expect to go in a truck like this and I personally don't want to go any faster in a lifted 4x4 even with good brakes and steering.

what years did the M5r2 come in trucks. I have a 93 f150 4x4 with the 300 and a 5spd that I was wanting to put a 4bt in and would like to know if that trans will hold up.

New here too, but the scoop on the Mazda and your tranny is that they hold up good.
