My idle is high at 1070 according to my tiny tach and I have almost bottomed out the idle adjustment. Anything else I should look at? Tiny tach inaccurate?
This is on a new Bosch VE pump modified by Mark @dieseltuff.

Thanks, Trace

Also, I used some scrap pieces of 22ga steel to adjust the idle screw. Worked very well.

In setting up the one I recently got from Mark I ended up needing to re-index the throttle arm by one tooth on the splined shaft to get idle where I wanted with my desired fueling.

I have a TinyTach - it is digital - should be accurate.

What Steve E. (eggman918 said). First, disconnect your accelerator linkage and verify that your return spring is working correctly. Then start the engine and verify the idle. It is a quick test before re-indexing.

As with Russ's suggestion also check when the lever comes up against the high idle stop.
If there is clearance there you can loosen the bolt holding those arms together and move the top arm towards the low idle screw. Much the same as re-indexing but with finer adjustment.
There is a reason that arm is slotted, adjustment.
Cheers Steve.
