Is very important.

I just put mine back in yesterday finally and I can set the radio about 2-4db quieter to hear it about the same. Big difference in my book.

Don't forget your hood insulation!

Amen to that.

I live without it on my 83 TD MB Wagon and I think I might just have to do the same with my 56, It isn't all that bad. If the Hush Mat all around the cabin doesn't do enough I guess I'm just going to have to live with it. Unless they make something that looks really really good under the hood of the old truck.

But yes do make a big difference. I've noticed the biggest difference is usually extra padding especially around the floor board and firewalls where the turbo comes down. Made a Gargantuan difference on my F-250.

you set your radio by dB?

doesn't the hood insulation often double as a fire blanket? (I could be totally wrong on that one and my Durango doesn't have any on it's aftermarket hood...)
