i was wondering the horsepower ratings you can get out of a 6bt without an intercooler? I know juicing up the pump can be really risky when it comes to not having an intercooler or proper cool air flow however i will have a pyrometer connected to the downpipe. I also realize that the temps can be 300 degrees different from manifold to downpipe, is this correct thanks for the input

Not having a I/C your temp will be high if you turn up the pump, your gauge will tell you how far you can go.The probe in the down pipe will be more than 300* off ,best to have it before the turbo.

You can get almost 300 flywheel hp out of one. Egt's would be out of sight. Should be ok for 10-20sec bursts. Cummins did a marine non IC engine at 210 or 220hp. The 4bt marine non IC went 150hp.
