Injector question on Bt390

Hello guys, I have had a radiator leak, I bought a new aluminum rad. Because of this I have had to remove lots of stuff, clean & paint .
I cut a 15/16 impact socket away because it fit just a little tighter than a 24mm (but still loose)so that I could use it with a crow foot - 15mm to hold the injector while loosening the hold down with wife’s help. Was able to pull / wiggle all out except #1 , so measured where the injector tube mounts. I figured 12 mm & pitch gauge said 1.5 , which is Toyota lug nut,(so I had heard) got one, checked the pitch,= good, put it on, used a Stanley bar & still had to tap it gently with small hammer; rust was the problem ! The question is, how do you stop water from getting down between the hold down nut & the injector body all the way down to the copper compression washer ?
Thanks

I just used antiseize on the outside of the body and fit the square section seal rings they use. They press into to top of the hold down nut.

It's a bit odd that the injector hold down nut does not show anywhere on the parts list for the engine. Shows a breakdown view of the injector but that part doesn't show as separate. The hold down nut is a Bosch part 2433462014. However, the sealing O ring does show in the Cummins parts list as 3909356. You can find those priced from about $1 each to $3.66 each at Cummins.

Thanks Charlie, attaching a couple photos of the injecto. As you can see it does not have the Or ring so that may one of my problems.

Dorothy answered the above .
Good info , I had put copper never seize in them but did not seem to be enough & that wire ring with open ends for sure did not stop the water.
so you are saying there is a square shaped O ring to go into the top of the hold down-nut , great I should be able to come up with that, that is what I was hoping.
I am in the process of bluing, got the nuts blued, after I get the injectors blued all will get the 8 hrs of oil & I warm things up a bit with a heat gun, to make the oil really penetrate.

Yes, that O ring is what keeps the trash out of the space between the nut and the injector.

Well you great guys at 4 bt have not disappointed me , you have come through again ! Have not come up with the sq O rings but used round rubber ones .
The blackened injections look great, coated them with the gun lube oil & cooked them all day in the hot sun, wish I had had the BIRCHWOOD Casey Barricad. It is supposed to give a micro film coating. Thanks again, & here is a picture of the socket I modified , so I would not have to take the exhaust manifold off.
