just currious my dad has a ISB commonrail 3.9L it is rated at 170HP and 420ftlbs torque it only has 325 miles it was in a badly wrecked truck frightliner I think, anyway it has a Allison 1000 auto behind it he plans on using the whole combo but it has the geartrain in the back of the engine like all new 5.9 and 6.7L cummins except Dodge my question is can you get flywheel housings for these engines t oget them to a TH400/Ford?dodge trannys?

I would keep the Allison!!!

Does it have an SAE bell? Probably SAE#2 or SAE#3?

thanks 94z28a4 that is exactly what i needed to know. and my dad plans on keeping the allison behind it I was just wondering if i found another one of these engines or a 5.9 like it, if it was possible to put these other transmissions behind them.
