Are any of you guys using electric fuel pumps or just the little mechanical helper pump on the diesel i have been told the helper pump is enough is that true. Also can someone fill me in on the gas tank i put a tube going to the boottom for the return line and changed all gas lines what else do i need to do to mmake it work. I am thinking of doing a electric fuel pump is that a good or bad idea. any respone would be great. The truck is almost done.bounce

Standard mechanical lift pump here also. You did well plumbing hte return to the bottom of the tank. Keep the return away from the pickup if possible. Your should be good to go

I would run the standard mechanical lift pump unless it is toast or isn't delivering enough fuel. You can replace with the piston type pump and that is more reliable and pumps more fuel. If you go piston pump make sure you get the correct one for a VE pump, there is a thread here about this.
