hey guys, i just joined the site. I just picked up an 89 ford bronco for $800 that has a blown up 302. i was going to just rebuild the v8, but i was working on my swather and got to thinking it would be pretty cool to have the little 4cyl cummins it has in that bronco and here i am.

i do have a couple of questions, what kind of transmission would you guys recomend? i want to stick with an automatic since thats what it has now.

If you want a 5 speeds and manual transmission most are using the NV4500.
Advanced adapters has some nice catalogs that help to put this on a 4bt. Some guys here may know what the Fords require. My 4BT and NV4500 are in an 85 Dodge 4x4 RAM Prospector shorty.
