Can a guy switch out input shaft from a ford to a chevy

Trying to run a zf5transmission and a chevy 208 transfer case in a chevy truck

Won't swear to it, Ford used the NP208 from 1980-1986 and those would have the 31 spline input to match the transmission. Will the GM bolt pattern on the front match the transmission? Those transfer cases appear to have totally different front ends. The center neck on the GM extends much farther than the Ford. Here's some photos.

It does appear that the input shafts are the same length so that part may work. Would be nice to have access to one of each where you could measure. I thought about you possibly changing the the front housing to a Ford but they were left hand drop where the GM in right hand. Might try contacting Advanced Adapters and see if they have a solution. Seems those guys have mated most every transmission to every kind of transfer case.

Yea I had a 208 from a 4l60e I gave it away couple years ago hate to by one of each to find out its doesn't work probably be the best to call them

208 ford input will go right in to 208c..612-309-3999
