In my project 48 Dodge 4BT swap. I am using a 1995 NV4500 with the VSS in the tailstock. I also have the Dana 70 with the ABS sensor in it. I am going to use an Autometer electric speedometer. I am wondering which sensor to use? My concern has to do with the voltage feeding the sensor(s). In the wiring diagram for the drive train donor I see 5 VDC being supplied to the 3 wire tailstock sensor. I do not have a PCM or other module which might have 5 volts available. Not sure what voltages the ABS sensor is compatible with, or if a DC feed is even needed? Has anyone had experience with using the Mopar stuff to provide the Speedo signal? Or, could a resistor be used to drop the voltage to the sensor? Autometer's help line was not much help, other than to say their speedo should work with a signal from either sensor?
