I looked into this for some time myself. As far as I can tell if you have a diesel NV4500 you should have the correct input shaft and the correct bellhousing for connecting with the Cummins. the one thing you are going to need is the adapter that goes between the Cummins and the bellhousing. Wrecking yards have this part. Also you need the 6BT Flywheel. SO to sum it up you use all of the Dodge truck parts.
Does this apply to both the 4BT and the 6BT or the 6BT only ?

I noticed my old post was from 2010 .. SO SINCE THEN I'VE SOLD ALL MY NV4500 ITEMS .
But after 2010 I WENT TO work for a truck parts place .
& WE ORDERED One of those flywheels & THEY ARE STILL AVAILABLE . & i BELIEE THAT ONE WE picked up from Cummins dealer themselves .

You can also used the NV5600 flywheel with the NV4500. That one is set up to use a 13" clutch disc instead of the 12-1/4". Some of the flywheels have both bolt patterns. Guy who do that usually change the transmission input shaft to the 1-3/8" like the NV5600 had and use the NV5600 clutch assembly.
