I know that the 1st generation 6bt's are fully mechanical, but what about the 2nd generation 12v (1994-1998)? The reason is I'm looking to swap a cummins into a landcruiser and don't want any elec. componants that could be damaged on deep water crossings, being a comm transport mech I see everyday what corosion does to wires. thanks

you can take out the electric shut off solonoid and use the mechicanical shut off on either the ve or p pump its real simple to do good luck

Ya I'll just stick with 98 and earlier, I used to have a little clamp i made up so if you lost power you could clamp the fuel shutoff soilnoid to full open, i'll have to dig around and find it.
