I was wondering if there is a specified presure for the radiator cap. It's been over 100 degrees here and I feel like my rad is running hot and letting pressure into the overflow too soon(blew my overflow cap off). The cap I have on there now is a 16lbs pressure rating. Should it be a higher pressure to keep it a little cooler pulling hils.

Higher pressure won't keep it cooler. It'll just push the boiling point a little higher.

With a 16psi cap, your boiling point will already be about 120 deg C. If the system gets that hot then something needs attention.
