What specific donor vehicles should we keep an eye out for, to find a 4BT or 4BTA? Can anyone list potential donor vehicles by year, manufacturer, model, etc?

This would help me greatly while keeping an eye out on classifieds, CL/eBay, auctions, junkyards, or companies going out of business.

BTW - I searched for this on BobS's excellent sticky FAQ: 4BT Swaps Topic Index here but couldn't find anything about specific years to watch for.

When I did a search on Grumman P30 step vans, I was surprised by the number of gas and non-Cummins diesel combinations on the market. Help me out here... thanks!

Not much to say....just keep an eye open and ask about what engine is in any step van you run across.

I got my engine/trans from a truck salvage yard.
