I'm debating rebuilding my 4bt. It's a little dirty, the rear main leaks, the oil pan bolts are leaking it seems, and the blowby tube has oil dripping from it. Is it a good assumption to say the pistons have a lot of blowby and I should rebuild?

I'm not sure if it's worth it to go through everything if it ran fine. At the very least it will need a rear main and some valve cover gaskets along with a good cleaning and paint job. Possibly an oil pan gasket.

FWIW I recently did the front main when I did the KDP and that isn't leaking at all. Someone had said blowby causes rear mains to leak but wouldn't it cause front mains to leak too?

They have a kit on ebay for ~$500 which looks like it would do the job pretty well.

If there is no ridge on the top of the cylinder, I say hone the cyls a little and install new rings. I have seen full sets of 6 pistons/rods from a Dodge Cummins on ebay for about $100 or so.
