I have a 1997 Chevy with a 5.7(350) with 4L60E transmission and a NP243C transfer case. The TC front housing has a crack in it by the electric shift actuator. I have a NP231D and was wondering if it would swap out or would the front half of the 231 bolt to the 243 so I could have manual shift capability and get rid of the leak. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Also, the 231d has a different mounting angle...meaning it would be higher 'hitting floor' or lower than your GM case when mounted...unless using clocking ring.
Front case halves are an easy find on the bay.
