Does anyone know of a elec switch that would turn an elec vacuum pump on and off as needed to operate only A/C controls. The truck I just bought Im hoping will have servo motors but will probably have vacuum controls. The switch I assume would operate from the vacuum tank according to volume. Im going to rob the A/C regardless to put in my truck along with a bunch of other stuff.

Cool, thanks guys. A new pump would be nice, but Ill probably go salvage yard or e-bay first, just making sure of a switch source first.

The later model powerstrokes had them to control their elec vac pumps. Not sure what year to look for but I think after 2003 or so.

If you're heading to a junkyard..

Little bit of searching turns up that some mid-80's Caddys had vacuum pumps w/ built-in switches, too.. 86 Seville is one that is confirmed as having them.

Even more good news. I was already going to look for 76-78 caddy for rear brake calipers, and I know they have an '02 super duty that I can pilfer stuff from. Carl
